Bluff Springs Fishing, Inc. is a family based, family run and family orientated business that started in 1999 outside of Maiden Rock, Wisconsin.
Mike and Holly Girdeen, along with our 4 boys, Adam, Matthew, Charles and Benjamin, use our spring-fed pond and portable trout tank to minister to various churches, organizations and groups/individuals that want to offer good old-fashioned fishing fun and fellowship to its populations. We strive to teach kids and adults alike, the wholesome hobby of fishing that can last a lifetime.
As an added bonus, Mike utilizes his vast fishing expertise and experience as a consultant to customers who fish the upper Midwestern waters.
We also offer various farm animals of many shapes and sizes to pet, feed and learn from. There are dogs, kittens, bunnies and ducks to play with; chickens to collect eggs from; baby chicks, baby calves and mature steers to feed and pet. Don’t forget Pearl our draft horse (who is queen of the pasture) to brush, feed or ride.
Throughout the summer months, there are flower and vegetable gardens to participate in and sleding or snowman making in the winter months. There are also many areas to hike around and explore.
Our little hole in the wall at Bluff Springs Fishing is quiet enough to simply just come with a lawn chair and soak up the gorgeous scenery or chat with friends around a cozy campfire.
We have had people from all over the country and the world attend our portable trout tank and visit our pond. Some comments from previous customers are: “I haven’t been fishing for years, I forgot how much fun it was”, “I never thought I would ever hold a fishing pole again”, “I come every year to this sport show because you guys (Bluff Springs Fishing) are here”.
