[Ellsworth, Wis.] – Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services appointed Nathan Boettcher the cooperative’s new president and chief executive officer effective October 1, 2019. Board Chairman Roger Wiff made the announcement during an all-employee meeting on Friday, September 6. Boettcher comes to Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services from National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. After Larry Dokkestul announced his intention to retire on October 1 early in 2019, the board of directors started the CEO search and worked with a consulting firm to recruit, vet and interview qualified candidates. “The fact that we had so many qualified applicants speaks to the employees who have made PPCS the outstanding organization it is today,” said Wiff. “We are confident Nate can lead this organization into the future.” Boettcher reflected on his future with PPCS saying, "Our industry is constantly evolving, and I am excited to work with our board and staff as we strive to meet the needs of our members. Over the next 20 years, our future will be shaped by new technology. I am looking forward to helping PPCS continue to be an innovative cooperative." Boettcher graduated from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota, with an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
