Join Us for Family-Friendly Holiday Events in Pierce County

The holiday season has kicked off in Pierce County and now is an excellent time to join family and friends as we gather to celebrate and create new memories. Our vibrant community events are one of the many reasons community members enjoy living and working here. In December, there are several fun events planned. Here is what you and your family can look forward to –

Christmas in the Park – Ellsworth

Date: December 2nd

Time: 4:30 – 6pm

Join us in Ellsworth's East End Park for a free family-friendly holiday celebration on Sunday, December 2, from 4:30pm-6:00pm. Santa Claus will arrive at 5:00pm to visit with young and old (be prepared to take pictures!). The lighting of the trees will take place at 5:15pm. In addition, there will be complimentary hot chocolate, s'mores, live Nativity, sparklers and Christmas caroling. Come to take in the beautiful lights and decorations!

Forward Foundation’s Colleen Raye Holiday Concert – River Falls

Date: 12/2/18

Time: 1:00-3:30pm

Colleen Raye will be performing Sunday, December 2, at the annual FORWARD Foundation Holiday Concert. The festive production Sinatra and Company: That Holiday Feeling features Colleen Raye, Tim Patrick, Debbie O'Keefe, and the 10-Piece Blue-Eyes Band. The event will be held at the River Falls High School, 818 Cemetery Road, River Falls. Doors open at 1:00 PM with a social hour in the commons area along with a silent auction and bake sale. The concert begins at 2:00 PM.

Public involvement meeting for WI 29 improvement project in Pierce County – Prescott

Date: 12/4/18

Time: 5- 7pm

Location: Prescott City Hall, 800 Borner Street, Prescott, WI 54021

PRESCOTT, WI – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northwest Region will hold a public involvement meeting to discuss improvements to WIS 29 between US 10 and South Junction County Trunk Highway QQ in Pierce County.  The meeting will be an informal open house. Exhibits showing the plan concepts will be on display. Project representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.

Christmas in the Valley – Spring Valley

ParadeDate: 12/8/18

Time: 5:30 – 8:00 PM

Come celebrate “Christmas in the Valley” with the Spring Valley Royalty on Saturday, December 8, from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. The Second annual lighted Christmas in the Valley Parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. and run along McKay Avenue from the school bus garage to the Spring Valley Community Center. Family friendly activities will begin immediately following the parade, inside the community center. Activities will include: visits with Santa, story time with the Spring Valley Royalty, cookie decorating, craft making, chili tasting and of course plenty of hot cocoa to warm up after a chilly evening of Christmas cheer! This is a free event for the whole family and we hope you will come celebrate this magical time of year with family, friends and neighbors!
