‘A Butchery Shoppe’ now open in Spring Valley

SPRING VALLEY, WI – “We had a fabulous Opening day,” said co-owner Fadra Greene about the newest business venture in downtown Spring Valley, Wisconsin. After welcoming the press, family, friends, Village dignitaries and some curious passers-by to a soft weekend opening Open House on Sunday, December 17.  The “A Butchery Shoppe” is now officially open for business in the community with a fantastic first day opening reception from everyone who has come to the new butcher shop and more on Monday, December 18, 2017.

Master butcher Kevin Olson and his partners Fadra Greene, Dale Volkert and Robert Kramer opened their new venture in downtown Spring Valley at S422 McKay Avenue, the site of the old Spring Valley Foods store to rave reviews. At “A Butchery Shoppe” Olson and company are offering award-winning meat products plus more that are “A cut above the rest!”

The “by invitation” Open House (soft-opening of the store) on Sunday, December 17 was held from noon until 4 p.m. and was attended by over 180 people who enjoyed samples of teriyaki snack meat sticks, ham and specialty cheeses. There was also crusty French bread with or without duck fat and or honey butter and or blueberry honey butter—to die for yummy! And there was a delicious assortment of Christmas cookies to be enjoyed with all of the other goodies available to nosh on!

“A Butchery Shoppe” is offering award-winning meat products that will be “A cut above the rest!” Those meats cuts are beautifully displayed in the fresh meat cases that are sure to have you licking your chops to bring them to your kitchen to serve at your dinner table.

The completely remodeled store/butcher shop facility features a quality fresh meat counter with steaks, chops, roasts, bacon-wrapped chicken breasts, ground beef, brats, stuffed pork chop and of course bacon. They even have duck breast and bulk olives there.

In addition to fresh meats they have a fantastic selection of packaged meats to choose from. Along with those are a vast selection of other specialty items to please your palette with diverse “clean label” and unique tasty products made in the “A Butchery Shoppe” State inspected kitchen. Those will be products such as honey butter, blueberry and cherry pie filling, Kimchi, spicy Kosher style dill pickles, sauerkraut, jams and preserves and the list goes on and on.

They even have Ghee butter and imported butters for your best recipes. In the expansive walls of cold cases you will find more of those delicious “A Butchery Shoppe” packaged brats and old-world recipe sausages as well as hams and bacon along with a fantastic selection of smoked meats. You will also find ready to bake pizza along with other specialty foods including imported cheeses, granola, chocolates, ready to drink iced teas and sodas and so much more in addition to the rotisserie items on sale. There are also pasta noodles and jars of spices and meat rubs to choose from to make your cooked meats special.

“Clean label” means simple easy to read ingredients with little or no preservatives. All the meat products will be nitrate and nitrites as well as MSG free.

As in the case of the sodas and iced teas featured at “A Butchery Shoppe” they will be made with raw cane sugars rather than high-fructose corn syrup.

The new shop also has many great local products for you too. These include Wood’s Maple Orchard international award-winning maple syrup, local honey, local fresh brown eggs and butter. There will also be local fresh produce – organic and natural in season and some bakery products are planned. Soon they will have their line of Black Sheep Deli products ready for you as well.

The fresh ground coffee pot is always on for patrons to enjoy a cup while shopping at “A Butchery Shoppe.” And you will want to stop in for the daily samples to taste at the “A Butchery Shoppe.”
