Vino in the Valley

Every now and then, it is possible to have the perfect day. A day where the sun is shining, the views are spectacular, the food devine and every sip of wine transformative. These are the days we live for and they are easy to come by at Vino in the Valley. Nestled in the heart of the Rush River Valley, this outdoor dining experience is more than a restaurant. It’s an experience and a destination.

Owners Larry Brenner and Julie Karlstad love to entertain, welcome guests and share all that they love about their corner of Wisconsin. They had a vision to create a destination in the Rush River Valley where people could come from the Twin Cities and throughout the region to enjoy stunning vistas, a sky full of stars, and the beauty of Mother Nature in all her glory. Vino in the Valley was born and for twelve years they have been serving up fresh, locally grown Italian food, a vast wine collection, and friendship. People who visit once are likely to quickly fall in love with the place and return again and again. In fact, Vino in the Valley has become a go-to spot, attracting guests from as far as Germany, Spain, Australia and Italy.

With such great success, they decided to open a second location. Vino Over the Valley will be located in Arcadia, WI just off the Great River Road. Built on top of a ridge overlooking the valley, guests will be treated to unobstructed views that are truly breathtaking. The Great River Road has been named one of the Best Drives in the entire country and it never disappoints. Whether driving down in late spring or taking a trip just as the fall leaves begin to turn a vibrant shade of red and orange, bikers and weekenders have long made this stretch of road a popular destination. Now, Vino Over the Valley will be there to greet return guests and road-trippers in search of fabulous food, wine and company. Larry and Julie welcome everyone to visit their new location and will be posting updates online and on social media regarding their grand opening.

When to Visit

Vino in the Valley has a full schedule of exciting events and activities. In May, they will host a large Mother’s Day celebration to honor moms throughout the area. Moms will receive a complimentary flower and dessert, enjoy live entertainment and even a chair massage in the vineyard. Talk about relaxing!

They will be hosting Folk Fest on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, which draws music lovers from throughout the region. With four to five bands playing, guests can drop in at any time, pick a spot on the lawn, order food and a glass of wine and simply enjoy the weekend. This event is a ton of fun for the entire family.
